Prof. Mishra is presently Dean, Research & Development and Industrial Consultancy at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow and Professor & Head, Department of Biotechnology, Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Lucknow. He has nearly 30 years of experience in teaching and research, including more than 13 years as Professor.
He has published more than 100 research papers in reputed National and International journals and has successfully guided a large number of M.Tech. and Ph.D. scholars. His research contributions span Bioinformatics, Environmental Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology and 3D Bioprinting.
His research article on 3D Bioprinting in Plant Science: An Interdisciplinary Approach published in Trends in Plant Science (Cell Press, 2020) is regarded as one of the pioneering works in the field. He is also the author of the book "3D Printing in Biotechnology" (Elsevier Press) and editor of the book "Environmental Nanotechnology, Volume 5" (Springer Press).
Prof. Mishra has supervised more than 200 M.Tech. dissertations and 14 Ph.D. theses and has mentored several post-doctoral researchers. He has served as reviewer for many reputed National and International journals.
His academic excellence has been recognized through numerous awards and honours, including election as a Life Member of the National Academy of Sciences (India). He has also served on various scientific and policy committees related to Biotechnology and Research & Development.
